Menzies Research Seminars are returning for 2023!

We’re looking forward to bringing you the latest research on a range of topics, spanning tropical diseases and Indigenous health.

We’re starting with a lunchtime presentation (ACST) on Wednesday 15 February from Dr Rob Commons, Senior Research Fellow from our Malaria team in our Global and Tropical Health Division.

Dr Commons is an Infectious Diseases Physician in Ballarat, Victoria and a Senior Research Fellow at Menzies. His PhD, which he completed in 2019, investigated primaquine as a radical cure for Plasmodium vivax malaria in collaboration with World-Wide Antimalarial Resistance Network (WWARN).  Dr Commons continues to research ways to improve vivax radical cure, including undertaking large pooled individual patient data meta-analyses with WWARN to examine the efficacy and safety of different primaquine doses.

If you have an interest in malaria and tropical diseases, we hope to see you at this research seminar - attend either in-person or online!
