CJ STRANGER 'FOLK SONGS FOR END TIMES' EP LAUNCH

Join CJ STRANGER as he launches his new dystopian folk EP. CJ describes the lead single 'Love Will Find a Way' as telling the story of a journey across an arid Australian landscape in a makeshift vehicle. The characters are trying to understand why choices were made that led humanity down this path of destruction. Whilst this song is definitely a warning, it also contains a constant thread of hope that love will find a way even through the darkest times.

  CJ Stranger is a guitar slinging, story-telling songwriter living on Dharug Country, Blue Mountains Australia. His music draws on folk songwriting traditions mixed with an adventurous sonic palette courtesy of his exploratory guitar & banjo style. Often booked for his unique & creative guitar sound, CJ has become an in-demand session player for many artists including William Crighton, Melody Pool, Middle Kids, John Schumann (Redgum), Lisa McCune, Angie Who, Magpie Diaries & toured in bands opening for Midnight Oil, Bloc Party & The War on Drugs. In 2022 CJ toured Australia & New Zealand in a new theatre play by Connor Mcpherson & Bob Dylan entitled ‘Girl from the North Country’. CJ has released 3 albums of his original songs ‘Hey Stranger’ (2020), ‘Coming Up for Air’ (2023), ‘Live at Dashville Skyline’ (2024) & his latest release 'Folk Songs for End Times'.

  GRACIE JEAN is an Americana artist from Sydney, NSW. Gracie has grappled with grief, longing & loss, & she articulates thoughts & feelings that most people try to avoid. Described as “a little Dolly Parton, a little Kacey Musgraves, with a bit of bitter scorn known to Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams”, Gracie Jean will leave you feeling human & feeling held.
