Event Details

The Western Australian region of the Cadillac LaSalle Club of Australia will be hosting the 2024 Cadillac LaSalle Nationals in beautiful Perth, Busselton, Margaret River and Bunbury.

This time around it is going to be bigger and better and held over eight days from 14th – 21st April 2024.

The South West stage will incorporate two Driving Tours thru the South West scenic areas such as Margaret River, Yallingup, Bunbury and Dunsborough. Luxury coaches will be used for the local wineries and other tourist attractions tour. The Show and Shine Day, along with the presentation dinner are planned for Saturday 20th April 2024.

Sunday 14th April 2024

Sunday is at your own pace and on your own.

8 am Gathering at University of Western Australia, Car Park #3 Reed Library Hacket Drive , Nedlands, WA,

Cadillacs will be front and centre on display joined by 600+ makes and models from around the world. This is a fantastic local event that is well supported. $10 per entry for cars, pay at the gate. Classiccarsandcoffee.com.au

12 noon. Head to Whiteman Park for lunch at your own cost. After lunch enjoy WA’s largest Motor Museum at your own pace. motormuseumwa.com.au

Monday 15th April 2024

Private tour of some of Perth's collections. Please make your own transport arrangements.

8:30 am Making your own way to Balcatta WA, for workshop One and Two (address to follow for those joining the tour)

Cars currently in the workshop, include Cadillac, Jensen, Bentley, Delahaye, Hispano Suiza et al.

After a morning tea you will make your own way to the third workshop in Victoria Park.

During the tour of the third workshop there will be lunch. (Lunch included in tour cost)

Make your own Dinner arrangements.

Tuesday 16th April 2024 (Registration open from 2 pm)

Make your way to Busselton for the main event.

6 pm Welcome BBQ (Dress Code is “Cadillac Shirt”) - Free event

At the host Hotel on the deck area between Hotel and beach. Put on your best Cadillac shirt and catch-up with old friends and meet up with new friends. Fully licensed. - No BYO drinks

Wednesday 17th April 2024

9 am: Cruise to Bunbury. Our cruise to Bunbury will take about an hour through the magnificent Tuart forest. First stop is the new Bunbury motor museum, a small museum full of interesting motor cars and bikes. After the museum we will make our way to the lunch destination. (Lunch & Museum entry, included in tour cost)

6.30 pm Dinner at “Shelter Brewing” on the foreshore. (Dress Code - Casual) Dinner at your own cost in one of Busselton’s newest breweries. A local beer brewery and kitchen in Busselton offering a unique selection of beers and seasonal menu A bus transfer from the hotel will be provided at cost. A relaxing night without having to drive. Fully licensed.

Thursday 18th April 2024

9.30 am: Wine / Chocolate / Cheese / Craft / Nougat tour (Lunch at own cost at the Black Brewery)

Pickup by coach or drive yourself. Wine / Spirits tastings are at your own cost per venue

The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is situated on a picturesque property that was established as a group settlement farm for returned soldiers from the First World War. Known as Sussex Vale the property was originally a dairy farm. The current homestead, considerably renovated, still has much of the original Group Settlement look and feel

Bettenays Margaret River

This site was planted in 1989 to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Later plantings of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon were established in 1997. The property now boasts 25 acres under vine with the excess grapes being highly sought after by neighbouring wineries. In 2012 the new extension was built onto the existing building. The extension includes a nougat kitchen and full nougat and wine tasting area maximising the experience for visitors to the premises.

6:30 pm: Movie night. We will set up the big screen at the back of the hotel to present a special movie. Staring Renee Zellweger My One and Only is a 2009 comedy - drama film, loosely based on a story about George Hamilton's early life on the road with his mother and brother. Dinner will be burgers & hot dogs to set the drive-in theme. Might be able to get some popcorn if you are well behaved. The star Cadillac used in the movie will be on show in the flesh. (Dinner included in event cost)

Friday 19th April 2024

9 am: Tour of the Margret River and Yallingup region. A driving tour of the magnificent Margaret River and Yallingup region. We will have lunch at mystery location. Then we will continue our cruise to Margaret River township and return by way of Cowaramup and shops loaded with tempting lollies, candy, fudge, chocolate and other goodies. (Lunch included in tour cost)

6.30 pm Time to relax Dinner. The Hotel will put on a Parmi night so you can sit and relax without thinking about how you are going to be fed. No set agenda, just enjoy the evening catching up with friends. (Dinner included in event cost)

Saturday 20th April 2024

10 am: Show & Shine at Signal Park-Busselton CBD. Signal Park was so named because it was the site of a 55 foot tall signalling mast erected to communicate with shipping. There is reference to it as early as the late 1890’s and it was removed in 1949. Gold coin donation entry for the public to support the Salvation Army. Lunch is at your own cost with the many local shops close by.

Signal Park is close to the Busselton Jetty which is the longest wooden jetty (pier) in the southern hemisphere, stretching almost 2 km out to sea. You may wish to take the train ride out along the jetty to the Underwater Observatory at its end. www.busseltonjetty.com.au/jetty-train/famous-jetty-train/ .It is a very short stroll into the Busselton town centre; visit the Old Court House Art Complex which has served as a government facility for approximately 120 years and as an arts centre for the last 20 years. It is the oldest surviving building complex within the Busselton region. St Mary’s Church was built by settlers in the 1840’s and is the oldest stone church in Western Australia and the Pioneer Cemetery has over 1000 graves of early settlers.

6 pm: Presentation Dinner at Host Hotel: (Dress code - Hawaiian Night) A relaxed fun filled evening is planned, together with Presentation of awards and auction. Dress in your best, (or worst), Hawaiian outfit. Fully licensed. (Dinner included in event cost)

Sunday 21st April 2024

7.30 am: Farewell BBQ Breakfast at the Host Hotel. All entrants are welcome at the Farewell Breakfast BBQ at the restaurant of the hotel. Breakfast will be available, and is the last opportunity to farewell old and new friends before departing Busselton.

Accommodation from the 16th to 21st April 2024, will be at the Host Hotel, for which the Committee has negotiated excellent rates with the Broadwater resort on the waters fronting the beautiful white sands of Geographe Bay, and the Indian Ocean.

The good news is you can book your accommodation now. There are one, two, and three bedroom options available.

The Busselton and Margaret River region has been a holiday mecca for locals for a long time. It's a great place to visit and we hope you will make a holiday out of your time with us, both in Perth and down south.
