The Brisbane Improv Festival is excited to be hosting 22 Improvisation Workshops as part of the 2022 Festival with facilitators from all over Australia and New Zealand.

Two-Prov: Ground Your Play 
Facilitated by Eleanor Stankiewicz & Marcel Blanch-de Wilt

This workshop is for improvisers interested in the challenge of performing in a pair.

A particular value of this workshop is receiving insights from a trained actor, and a seasoned comedian - both of whom have been working together as a two-prov for 4+ years (and married for six!) This means that the participants will be able to learn about rich, detailed, grounded scenes as well as silly, absurd, and playful scenes.

Participants will take away a collection of tips, tricks, and secrets for their toolbox so they can get the most out of their two-prov experience.

We'll also explore how to work with someone one-on-one or the value of having a coach / outside eye: how to debrief, giving notes, rituals. 

About Eleanor & Marcel

The Newlyweds have performed in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Wellington and Chicago. Ele is an acclaimed actor, Marcel is an award-winning stand-up, and they are both members of the faculty of Improv Theatre Sydney. 

The Brisbane Improv Festival will be following all current COVID-19 safety guidelines and will also require all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the wellbeing of all participants and facilitators - please note this is a extra requirement mandated by the Festival.
