This regenerative agriculture workshop explores how the water cycle works on your land!
Explore the strategies to rehydrate farm landscapes. This essential introductory workshop introduces the basics of the water cycle in rural landscapes and the science behind landscape rehydration. It will deepen your understanding of how your farm’s water cycle works and introduce you to the strategies for improving it.
You will learn:
- Farm Hydrology: the water cycle on your property
- Surface and Groundwater Systems
- How properties, catchments, regions and the planet are all connected by water & energy
- Healthy and unhealthy water cycles
- The basics of Landscape Rehydration
- A range of strategies for rehydrating your farm's landscape
This is a 'free' full-day workshop jointly funded by the Commonwealth and the New South Wales Government under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements and we thank them for their support with this project.

About our Speaker - David Hardwick:
David’s passion is agroecology and empowering farmers with knowledge and skills that make a difference. He has over 20 years’ experience in rural landscapes, farming and food systems. He develops and leads Soil Land Food's extension and consulting project delivery across Australia.
David has had a wide-ranging career in both management and technical roles, including Landcare extension, revegetation, agronomy, soils, agribusiness, biofertiliser research and development and manufacturing, organics, training, and consulting positions.
He has helped develop educational resources and deliver training to landholders in landscape rehydration and the rural landscape restoration at the Mulloon Institute in NSW.

- Bachelor of Ecological Agriculture (University of Sydney)
- Diploma in Agribusiness (TAFE NSW)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Permaculture Design Certificate
- Grazing Land Management (Queensland Department of Primary Industries)
- Natural Sequence Farming - Tarwyn Park Training
