Young Sporting Leader 2024

Sporting Young Leaders is a is a one-day event, very hands on and interactive leadership program focusing on building leadership skills in young women and girls, aged 14-18 years, who are members of sporting clubs in Knox. This is an inclusive program which welcomes culturally and linguistically diverse young people, LGBTIQA+ young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and young people with disabilities to participate.

The aim of the program is to develop young women and girls' leaders in Knox sporting clubs, through workshops including leadership skills. These young leaders will take the skills they’ve learned back to their clubs to contribute in a leadership or coaching role.

Clubs can nominate up to 3 people from their club. Let us know if you have more young people interested and we’ll check if we have space.

Nominations Close Friday 22nd of March.

Clubs and nominees will be contacted by Wednesday 27 of March to confirm participation.

Lunch will be provided. Please advise if there are any dietary requirements.
