This project will help graziers in the Northern Tablelands area build their ability to manage soil health, grazing landscapes and grazing enterprise through structured learning and skills building in a social setting through the Reboot Your Grazing Program delivered by Soil Land Food https://soillandfood.com.au/

Soil Land Food is an independent consultancy specialising in capacity building, training, consulting and extension for farmers, graziers and rural communities. We cover soils, regenerative and organic farming systems, composting, rural landscapes, food systems and rural change.

Dr Judi Earl is one of Australia’s leading grazing specialists and has worked around Australia on planned grazing extension projects and research. She has a PhD in pasture ecology and is a Certified Holistic Management Educator.

Workshop 3 - Pasture Plant Identification and Function

- The range of different plant groups that occur in pastures and growth cycles Pasture dynamics 

- The role of different species in pastures 

- Managing different pasture types in the grazing program 

- Selective grazing in time and space In the field 

- Practical plant identification tools
