Strategies for Inclusive Performance Spaces
Facilitated by Ellen Jackson (Moreton Bay, Qld)

Welcome - safe - respected. We all want to help people feel this way when they are involved in our theatres as performers and audiences. But... how do we do that? Many people within the improv community come from marginalized backgrounds and live with disabilities both visible and invisible. Join me as we discuss practical strategies to intentionally create inclusive and accessible performance communities.

About Ellen

Originally from New Zealand, Ellen now lives in the Moreton Bay region where she runs a disability support service specializing in assisting autistic adults to approach life supported and empowered. Ellen has had a lifetime of involvement within the world of performing arts across several continents and has been involved with Big Fork Theatre since moving to the area during the hellscape of 2020.

The Brisbane Improv Festival will be following all current COVID-19 safety guidelines.
