Polly's Club

Mission

Since 1964, the Pollys Club has been providing an inclusive, safe, fun and friendly community dance space thus helping to address social isolation in the LGBTIQA+ community. The funds we raise are donated to charities focused on men’s health, women’s health, youth health, mental health and animal welfare.

What to expect

The Pollys club usually holds 5 dances a year - four at Marrickville Town Hall and one at the NSW University Roundhouse. 

The format of these has not changed much over the years... doors open at 7pm for a dance set which is a meander through the decades. This is followed by the 30-45 minute themed amateur drag show from 9:30pm. The second dance set is more mixed but still retro, still dancy and still fabulous. 

We have a lucky door and best costume prizes so come as you please or dress to theme. We hope to see you at one of dances soon!

(Note: At Marrickville, you may BYO food and drink or purchase drinks and a snack from our bar. The Roundhouse provides a full service bar so no BYO is permitted there.)
