Lara Goodridge and Susie Bishop are The Bagel Sisters! A tribute to the Barry Sisters, who brought sass and swing to Yiddish music, and brought Yiddish to the swinging jazz scene of 1930s New York, and onwards into a 40 year career. Think Mrs Maisel. Think The Andrews Sisters but in Yiddish. Think Fiddler On The Roof. And for this special December show, think of the warm glow you get from Christmas songs like Let It Snow, White Christmas and Silver Bells, all written by Jewish composers and lyricists.

Lara and Susie have a musical magnetism wielded by their luscious vocal and violin harmonies. Lara of FourPlay and Baby et Lulu first met Susie (Chaika, Monsieur Camembert Leonard Cohen Show) arranging and performing for the original kora compositions of Miriam Lieberman in the Miriam Lieberman Trio. Together, they were drawn to the joyous music of the Barry Sisters and the wonderful harmonies they imbue.
