From Afro - Cuban Jazz to Salsa Music!

The Sydney Afro-Cuban Orchestra, under the leadership of Cuban Composer and Arranger Armando Garcia, known as “Armandito,” brings together top Cuban and Latin musicians residing in Sydney. With a rich repertoire spanning Afro-Cuban Jazz, contemporary Cuban music, and inventive renditions of popular tunes, the orchestra delivers a high-energy performance characterised by distinctively Cuban sounds and vibrant improvisation.

Armandito's background in Santiago de Cuba, often referred to as "The Cradle of Son," infuses the band's music with authentic Cuban influences. Having toured internationally with renowned Cuban bands like Sonora la Calle and Lady Salsa Show, Armandito brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the ensemble.

The orchestra's performances feature original compositions and arrangements, as well as Afro-Cuban Jazz standards, all delivered with sophisticated rhythms, dynamic brass sections, and captivating vocal harmonies. Their ability to spontaneously adapt to the audience ensures an engaging and immersive experience for listeners, guaranteeing an entertaining and energising show every time.

With their blend of Cuban salsa, inventive arrangements, and audience interaction, the Sydney Afro-Cuban Orchestra offers a truly distinctive and exuberant musical experience that captivates audiences and leaves them wanting more.
