David Crawford presents a fascinating talk on Simone de Beauvoir, author, feminist, social commentator. Simone de Beauvoir was - a rebel - renegade - whistleblower -unconventional - original thinker - insightful writer-commentator of her times. Her books still speaks to us in an era of social and mass media generated thinking, slogans and views of our life world. 

A published author in various magazines (Men's Health Journal UK, Sydney's Child) who worked as a researcher at Federal Parliament during the Hawke & Keating years.He has been facilitating workshops at WEA Sydney for the past year on Simone de Beauvoir and her writing. He says writing must be clear, readable and enjoyable for the reader.
