"Paddock to Picnic”, local producers, fashion, and live music headline

at Nundle Country Picnic @ Nundle Woollen Mill

Nundle Events & Groups collaborating with local business and producers will present delicious food, live local music, and new season winter fashion to make for an idyllic Sunday afternoon at the annual Nundle Country Picnic in the grounds of the Nundle Woollen Mill from 12 noon to 3pm on Sunday 18th April 2021.

The event is a fixture on the Nundle calendar and welcomes visitors to spend the afternoon relaxing in the lush gardens of Nundle Woollen Mill grounds.

The 2021 event introduces the inaugural partnership with the welcoming of the Tamworth Regional Landcare Association. Lana Andrews, Regional Co-ordinator says “becoming the major sponsor of the Nundle Country Picnic is a thrill to support this local Community event and showcase local farmers, producers and how they get their product to your plate, or in this case, to your Picnic box!” This event is supported by Tamworth Regional Landcare Association through the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.

Local caterers and business owners Teresa Eather and Danielle Douglas are catering for the event and will serve a 2 course brunch consisting of a gourmet picnic box filled with scrumptious food, locally sourced, including Danielle's Nundle grown lamb.

MENU:

Local Nundle Pulled Lamb Sliders on Brioche with Homemade Slaw and local Nundle Tomato Chutney, served with Roasted Seasonal Vegetables Rice & Quinoa Salad and Heirloom Tomato and Greens Salad. Finished off with Individual Cheesecake with Rhubarb & Strawberry Coulis and Peel Valley Dollop Cream.

It is an opportunity for Nundle Woollen Mill and boutique Sacs on Jenkins to showcase new season fashions on offer in a parade featuring local models.  Nundle Woollen Mill owner Kylie Bradford says she enjoys looking for value for money and points of difference when fashion buying for their diverse customer base with a focus on real fashion for real women.

Nundle singer/songwriter Jeff Gibson will bring original rootsy folk from three albums to the afternoon plus popular covers.

Teree Burr from Nundle Events & Groups, a bespoke destination and event management Company recently launched in Nundle, says “we hope to invite some of our local producers supplying us for the menu so the guests at the picnic have the opportunity to engage with the farmers and their product and hear their story”.
