Association of Employees with Disability Inc.
AED Legal Centre was established in 2008 by the Association of Employees with Disability Inc. (AED)
AED provides free legal advocacy and support to people with a disability in the areas of employment and education. Our main objective is to protect and advance the rights of people with a disability who experience difficulties in employment or education because of their disability.
AED provides the following services:
- Legal advocacy in employment, education or training linked to an individual's disability
- Training in disability discrimination and employment law.
- Legal Advisory Service every Wednesday night 6:30pm-9:30pm.This service is staffed by volunteer law students and legal practitioners.
- Projects aimed at increasing access to employment and education by people with a disability.
- Information services to: employers, employees,disability professionals, government, school principals and universities.
The Centre is a member of the Federation of Community Legal Centres of Victoria .
