Sensory Art Adventure – School Holiday Art Workshop - 6–10 years

Sensory Adventure is a fun, hands-on 2-hour workshop where children squish, swirl, roll, and create while exploring their senses. Through activities like slime making, colourful marble artwork, and playful sensory exploration, children engage their sense of touch, sight, movement, and coordination in a joyful and relaxed way.

Sensory play supports emotional regulation, focus, body awareness, and calming the nervous system. It helps children learn how their bodies respond to different textures, movements, and sensations, building self-awareness, confidence, and resilience. These experiences are especially valuable during key developmental years.

The workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and social connection in a safe and supportive environment. Children are guided at their own pace and encouraged to explore, experiment, and have fun without pressure.

By the end of the session, children will take home their creations, along with a sense of achievement, enjoyment, and increased sensory awareness.

What to bring:
• Water bottle
• Light snack
• Art smock or clothes that can get messy

All materials are provided. No experience needed — just a willingness to have fun.

I am a qualified Arts Psychotherapist with over five years of experience in private practice, supporting both children and adults of all abilities. I draw on creative experiential approaches to nurture emotional wellbeing, confidence, and self-expression in a safe and supportive environment.

Art has always played an important role in my own life, and this personal connection deeply informs the way I hold space for others. It allows me to create a warm, inclusive, and attuned therapeutic environment where children feel supported to explore, express, and grow through creativity.

My professional registrations include the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
