On 29 September, Councillor John McNamara was elected Mayor of Central Coast Council. On Wednesday 21 October, he will be our guest speaker, setting out his vision for Gosford and the Central Coast, and what it means for local business.

Mayor McNamara was elected to Central Coast Council in 2024 and chairs Council’s Economic Development Committee. He previously served as a councillor and Deputy Mayor of Wyong Council from 2008 to 2012. Before retiring in 2023, he was Global Account Director at AT&T and an Internet Specialist at British Telecom.

His address will focus on two decisions that will shape the next decade:

- Council’s Regional Economy Strategic Action Plan 2026–2027, which sets out what Council will deliver over the next 12 months to drive the regional economy.

- Gosford Alive 2040, endorsed in August 2026, an ambitious plan for the revitalisation of Gosford.

With the Mayor committed to seeing both implemented, this is the moment to hear the plan directly, and to put your questions to the person responsible for it.
