Our Story

“established in 1974 we have raised in excess of $850,000 and displayed
original art from over 300 Western Australian artists”

Army Art is managed 100% by a volunteer committee with members having a wide range of skills and many have a direct link to the Australian Defence Force. Our overall support team incorporates up to 80 volunteers who all give freely of their time in the lead up to Opening Night.

Our Aims

• to assist not-for-profit and charitable organisations working in Western Australia working to support current and former Australian Defence Force personnel and their families
  
• to promote established and emerging West Australian artists
• to foster relationships between the Australian Defence Force and the wider community

Partnering to Achieve

Our 46th, 47th and 48th Art Shows are in support of Legacy WA and their work with contemporary veterans and their families.

When we started discussions with Legacy WA it was very much on the basis that Army Art Show’s contribution be quite clearly targeted to this particular cohort;

‘We know there are up to 5,000 Veterans registered with DVA whose families

would qualify for support with Legacy WA’,

We knew we had found our partner and the need to commit over a longer term was crucial. Our desire has always been to make a tangible difference and we believe we can, with your continued support, best deliver this on a truly effective scale with a ‘three show’ commitment.

We look forward to sharing some insights into the work of Legacy WA and help them reach out to our current generation as,

‘Legacy strives to ensure that the partners and children of veterans who gave their lives

or health in recognised military service can fully realise their potential.’

Hours

Opening Night - Friday - July 22nd,  7.00pm to 10.00pm (attendance by pre-purchased ticket only)

Saturday - July 23rd,  10.00am to 5.00pm (entry by gold coin donation)

Sunday - July 24th,  10.00am to 3.00pm (entry by gold coin donation)
