We couldn’t have dreamed up a better home for THRIFT CLUB than Bardon Bowls. Tucked beside the creek, surrounded by palms, it’s a lovely place to spend a Sunday morning. Yes, we plan for *Brisbane weather! Scroll down to read our wet weather policy. 

Bring your favourite pieces from your wardrobe. Designer labels, Australian and international designers, local labels, vintage and beautiful well-loved clothes are all very welcome.

Everyone is Welcome to shop in doors and outdoors.

Free entry for shoppers. Perfect morning out for Brisbane fashion-lovers who love a good thrift!

There’s street parking around the club, with walking and bike paths nearby. It's easy to make an active and fun morning of it. Grab a delicious coffee when you arrive from Bancroft Coffee Roasters, wander through the stalls, have a chat and enjoy the surrounds.

Our limited indoor spaces are inside the air-conditioned Thrift Clubhouse with a boutique-style setup, including:

• 2 professional clothing racks
• Racks are 1.5m long and extendable to 1.8m
• Approximately 60–70 pieces per rack, depending on hanger width
• 1 table, 1.7m x 0.9m
• 2 chairs
• Air-conditioned indoor space
• No room for extra racks or tables.

OUTDOOR CABANA: Reg $99 ~ Launch Price $77

Deck out your very own 3m x 3m cabana on the beautiful Bardon Bowls grounds.
Shade and a large picnic table ready for your fashion edit.

Includes:

• 3m x 3m cabana for shade
• Large picnic table 

The picnic table stays where it is and cannot be moved.

Additional marquees cannot be added to the cabana area.
BYO extra display items and racks. 

Need hanging space? Professional clothing racks can be hired as an add-ons $20 each when you book your stall or BYO.

OUTDOOR MARQUEE POSITION: Space only $66

A generous 3m x 4m outdoor space for you to create your own fashion shop.
BYO everything: marquee, racks, tubs, tables and displays.

If you’re bringing a marquee or gazebo, pegs or suitable weights are required.

A note about setup: there is a car park at Bardon Bowls as well as street parking. You will need to walk your stock and equipment from your car to your stall, so please allow for physical activity and come prepared with your own trolleys and carts where possible. Suitcases are a great way to transport fashion items.

***Wet Weather Policy

We plan for Brisbane weather

We know the weather can be unpredictable, particularly when you’re booking a market weeks in advance. Our goal is to keep you safe, dry and able to enjoy a worthwhile selling day, while also recognising that once an event is booked, there is value in doing everything we reasonably can to run it.

THRIFT CLUB at Bardon Bowls will go ahead in cloudy conditions or where predicted rainfall is 3mm or less.

If the weather forecast indicates conditions are likely to make the market unsuitable, we will reschedule the entire event rather than ask stallholders to trade through poor conditions.

If the market is rescheduled

If we need to reschedule because of weather, your existing ticket will be automatically transferred to the new market date. You do not need to do anything and you will not need to purchase another ticket.

Where possible, we will work with Bardon Bowls to move the market to the following Sunday. If that isn't suitable for the venue, we will nominate another date and let you know as soon as it is confirmed.

A weather-related rescheduled event is a continuation of your original booking, not a cancellation. Tickets transferred to the new date are therefore subject to the terms and conditions that applied to your original booking. No refunds are provided solely because an event has been rescheduled due to weather, except where a refund is required under Australian Consumer Law.

If the weather changes on the day

Sometimes the forecast gets it wrong and Brisbane weather has other plans.

If we decide to proceed and conditions subsequently deteriorate, we will monitor the situation throughout the event and make decisions with the safety of stallholders, customers and the venue in mind.

If more than 3mm of rain arrives and customer attendance is substantially affected, we will work with you to provide a complimentary stall at another upcoming Her Wardrobe Markets event.

Our approach

We don't want to cancel markets unnecessarily. A lot goes into bringing a market together, including venue bookings, stallholder preparation, equipment, promotion and the customers who have planned their Sunday around coming along.

At the same time, we will never ask you to trade in conditions that we consider unsafe or unreasonable.

Our aim is to find the balance: keep you safe and dry, while making every reasonable effort to run an event that has already been booked and planned.

We'll always communicate any weather-related decision as early as we reasonably can.
