Leaders are the ones with the greatest influence on their team. They have to not only lead their team to victory but also care for their emotional well-being. Understanding them is essential. Leaders are in a unique position as they have the ability to influence not only the outcome of an event but also the mood and dispositionof their colleagues. This can be problematic. While it is true that the authoritative presence of a leader can strengthen morale and lead people to victory, the reality is that the leader must recognize when the team needs a rousing speech and how to avoid conflicts within the group. He or she also has to relay orders with the utmost care and sensitivity.

This training course will not only help you become an intelligent leader but also a kind, compassionate leader. This training course will address topics like task delegation, stress management, effective communications, and how to deal with workplace violence before they happen. Participants will be able to lead in a sensitive manner, adapt to all situations, and give support to their teammates by the end of the session.

Leadership does not only involve leading people to victory but also about leading them towards unity. This training course is based on the latter. We guarantee that participants and their teams will be able, through the topics of workplace violence prevention and stress management, communication methods, and task delegation, to embody the ideals and principles of leadership in any industry and anywhere else. We also offer other training courses that will help you develop the collective potential of your companies and teams. You can also create customized training courses that will help you focus on your specific needs. We are happy to provide more information about our services.

Emotional Intelligence Training Outline

Task delegation

It is doubtless to say that a great leader is also a sensitive one. One of the very first manifestations of sensitivity is often to have an accurate account of each members’ strengths and weaknesses. Now, both of these strengths and weaknesses can manifest in many ways and may even serve to contradict themselves: some people may be more capable of speech, but may also be really shy, for example. A leader, therefore, has to be capable of navigating between emotional and personal strengths and weaknesses. Thus, a leader must also be capable of using these strengths and weaknesses to an advantage. For example: The great writer who may be a perfectionist to write in a speedy manner would definitely be great in matters of writing when partnered up with an equally astute colleague, capable of discerning the strengths and limits of their writing. These nuances and complexities, therefore, will be the subject of our training course as participants will be subjected to activities which require much teamwork.

Stress Management

A leader is not only capable of assigning tasks to members, but also managing the team’s overall stress levels. Stress is an unavoidable part of work which, while inherently useful in promoting a sense of urgency and preventing procrastination, can be very detrimental if left unchecked. Of course, managing stress never starts with the whole team, but with the leaders themselves. After all, even if the team is psychologically doing well, they cannot work under the guidance of a leader unable to think due to being battered by responsibility after responsibility. Once the leaders themselves are in great shape, they have to focus all their positive energy to ensure that every team member doesn’t fall apart. Here, very simple motivation techniques such as fiery speeches are sure to be effective. However, we have a lot more to offer here: with our various techniques, participants will be able to manage the stress of everyone else within the team and ensure that they are capable of staying at their best possible form.

Effective Communication

Part of what makes a leader great is their sensitivity to the people they lead: they do not treat them as slaves or subordinates. Instead, they desire to know their members and learn from them, acknowledging that they are in pretty much the same position as the rest. All striving for one goal. In a sense, the goal of the leader is to represent the will of all the others who trust him or her. With this in mind, it is clear that a leader has to be capable of sincere, effective communication. Now, this particular area has many dimensions, from the orders, which must strike a balance between shortness and detail, and must equally be sensitive to the backgrounds and cultures of other members, to ordinary small talk, which is the main tool with which all the leaders get to know their colleagues and teammates. Accordingly, our training course will focus on these two aspects, to ensure that the leader is not only talented, but also capable of immense charisma.

Workplace Violence Prevention

Another trait of a good leader is their diplomatic nature; being the one that looks to the greater good the most, they are expected to be the most impartial in cases of conflicts within teams. A good leader, therefore, must also be capable of managing team-wide conflict. This means being able to file grievances appropriately, listen to various sides, and select the most unbiased and capable team members to form an arbitration panel that will study the case of all parties without fail. Through this training course, therefore, leaders will learn the value of diplomacy and its role in ending violence, and how to actually end them before they even begin or escalate.
