Event Details

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death. The agenda is directed by the experience and questions bought to the group by it's participants. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'

Our Death Cafes are always offered:
- On a not for profit basis
- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action

-BYO cake/snacks

Why a queer death cafe?  We are not exclusive but we are here to promote the voices of those who fall outside the standard cis/hetro/white dominant culture.  The "Queer as Death Collective" seek to identify these needs of our community to better direct our advocacy and education work.
