Ms. G is to Sydney’s jazz scene what Screamin’ Jay Hawkins was to rock: highly underrated. Channeling the spirits of the wild women who came before - Billie Holiday, Big Maybelle & Etta James to name a few - Magical Ms. G casts her spell over audiences from the darkest corners of the night. She is unlike anything else in this city’s music scene. Raw & expressive & dripping with sex, her vocals are a piercing plea that get under the nails, under the skin & into the blood; a distinct bittersweet tone that will haunt you well beyond the evening’s end.
