Mo McMorrow

Mo McMorrow is a well-travelled whirlwind of creative energy, accomplished in music and the visual arts and has made her home in Canada, Ireland, Texas and Australia. In song, this energy translates to a nuanced brand of Irish-Americana with a lyric voice of startling honesty.

As a performer she sparkles with life. One moment she's disarmingly funny and the next she's flying you out to the stars to look down at our planet with a full heart.

Mo has now teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Greg Hunt. He is the band.

Deebee Bishop returns to the Drill Hall Theatre with a new show…

“Punk-Folk, it’s not punk it’s folk’

As well as working as a busker around Australia, throughout Spain, France, Ireland, England & Scotland. I’ve performed thousands of shows in Clubs, Pubs, Private functions as well as harbour cruisers. This includes my own original shows in small theatres & private house-concerts.

If you want to learn how to work an audience, get out busking at Kings Cross, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, around Circular Quay or outside the Hoyts Cinema in Sydney late on a Friday and Saturday night. You quickly learn what goes where, regarding performing” -Deebee

During the show at the DRILL HALL THEATRE on Sunday 23rd October, I will play my own contemporary acoustic songs from my show ‘Punk-Folk’.

On Acoustic Guitars, Stage Piano, Banjo, Mandolin & Tenor Uke, it will be a great fun afternoon.

I’ll weave humorous stories in between songs, about growing up in the 1970’s as the son of a Baptist minister. There will be a few comical memories about working as a support act

(opener at a concert) for some of Australia’s greatest bands while touring in an old VW Kombi.

Be prepared for an up close & personal experience with a seasoned musician.
