Event Details

The Paediatric Palliative Care Service (PPCS) and the QuoCCA project in collaboration with Perinatal Antenatal Neonatal Palliative care Collaborative (PAN-PC) will be hosting Neonates in November.

Neonates in November is suitable for all Healthcare Professionals involved in supporting and caring for our tiniest people with palliative care needs or receiving End-of-Life care.

Do you have an interest or need a refresher in perinatal/neonatal/infant palliative care? Do you want to hear more about how Hummingbird House and the Paediatric Palliative Care Service support families? Do you want to learn through interactive scenarios/case studies? Then this is the workshop for you.

Topics include

  • The continuum of neonatal palliative care
  • Myths and dilemmas
  • End of life and after death cares
  • Grief, loss and bereavement
  • Complex pain and symptom management
  • Practical skills stations
  • Sustainable practice

When: Friday, 1st November 2024. 8am - 1630pm

Where: Queensland Children’s Hospital auditorium, Level 7, 501 Stanley St, South Brisbane

Cost: Free, numbers will be limited to 60 participants.

Please note, BYO morning tea and lunch required. Refreshments may be purchased on-site.

Parking: Hancock Street Car park, Mater Car parks, Southbank Parklands Car parks – costs apply. Mater Hill bus station is directly opposite the hospital. If traveling by rail, the closest train station is Southbank. It is a 500m walk from the train station to the hospital.

This event is planned to be run only as an in person event.
