The Brisbane Improv Festival is excited to be hosting 22 Improvisation Workshops as part of the 2022 Festival with facilitators from all over Australia and New Zealand.

Stagecraft for Improvisers
Facilitated by Anne Pensalfini

Participants will explore fundamental acting tools of stage movement and proxemics to get you and your scene partners tuning into each other, using stagecraft to communicate character and status.

About Anne

Anne Pensalfini has a diverse range of performing experience in stage, film, and commercial work locally and abroad. Performance highlights include 18+ years of improvisational comedy for companies including Disney, and Australian acting credits with Queensland Theatre and the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble. Extensive training in voice, movement, Shakespeare and improv, and degrees in Theatre and Education inform her teaching practice. Anne has taught for Big Fork Theatre, Impro Mafia, Queensland Theatre’s youth programs and Queensland University of Technology, Griffith Uni and the University of Queensland. She uses Applied Improv as an Instructional Designer and Facilitator for Melbourne-based Culture Hero. 

The Brisbane Improv Festival will be following all current COVID-19 safety guidelines and will also require all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the wellbeing of all participants and facilitators - please note this is a extra requirement mandated by the Festival.
