Event Details

You’re invited to our alumni and community webinar – In conversation with Fiona Scott, Chief of Staff to Independent Senator David Pocock

Join us for our end of year community and alumni gathering.

This online event will bring together our alumni and collaborators to connect and learn.

At the event, our guest speaker will be Fiona Scott, Chief of Staff to Independent Senator David Pocock. She will be in conversation with our Founder, Caterina Giorgi.

At a time when our political environment is unlike anything we’ve seen in the past, Senator Pocock has committed to ‘doing politics differently’. Behind the scenes, he is supported by a smart, strategic and passionate team led by Chief of Staff (COS) Fiona Scott.

In this conversation we will unpack the role of a COS, what it’s like day-to-day in Parliament, what it means to be ‘doing politics differently’ and how to maintain hope.

Whether you’ve participated in our training or coaching, or want to find out more about our community, we’d love for you to join our end-of-year event.

About Fiona Scott

Fiona Scott is Chief of Staff to former Wallabies Captain turned Independent Senator, David Pocock. Supported by an army of volunteers and a tight-knit team, she ran David’s successful 2022 campaign, which broke the major party hold on ACT Senate seats for the first time in the Territory’s history and managed his 2025 campaign, during which he effectively doubled his vote.

Over the course of almost two decades serving in and around parliament, Fiona has worked for two former Labour Cabinet Ministers, a Prime Minister and has consulted to a wide range of private sector organisations and federal government departments and agencies. In her pro-bono work, Fiona helped organise the March 4 Justice and the repatriation of children stranded overseas during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fiona believes in the kind of politics that puts people – and good policy outcomes - first and is passionate about every person’s potential to advocate effectively for the causes they care most about.
