NEW SUN

The music of up & coming contemporary jazz group NEW SUN is filled with optimism, sweeping arcs of melody & harmony, to flourishes of groove & space.  Rooted in jazz nostalgia, New Sun’s music intersects the history & groove of swing with the harmonic sophistication & nuances of contemporary jazz, classical & hip hop. 

The group introduces audiences to young contemporary jazz musicians, with ZAC SANDILANDS on piano, MATTHEW LING on bass, JACK ROSENZWEIG on drums, JUSTIN YEO on tenor saxophone & ALEXANDER GRACE on trombone. Driven by the sincerity & honesty of melody, New Sun engages in improvised musical dialogue that reflects each member's personal voice & expression, ultimately creating a sound that is both accessible & thought provoking.

New Sun will play two sets of all original compositions.
