AAC Assessment Half Day Training

Participants will learn about:

• Considerations and tools for AAC assessment
• Using the SETT framework
• Feature matching with hands-on exploration of different language systems
• Goal setting

This training is designed for:

● Speech Pathologists who are prescribing AAC systems or supporting AAC users

Morning tea will be provided. Please email nsw@liberator.net.au with dietary requirements by 20th March.

OPTIONAL (discounted price to attend both assessment and implementation training sessions)

AAC Implementation Half Day Training (15th May 2024, 9:30-12:30pm, same location)

Participants will learn about:

• Foundational AAC implementation strategies
• Practical strategies and tools for implementing AAC in different environments
• Supporting communication partners
• Data collection and reviewing progress

This training is designed for:

• Speech Pathologists supporting AAC users
• Teachers and education assistants
• Parents and carers of AAC users
• Support workers

These are both face to face training events held over 3 hours each. These sessions will not be recorded or offered online.
