2020 was tough, really tough, so this IWD will be centred around fun and inspiration. We were all challenged in different ways to cope with changes beyond our control. In a way, the Pandemic has shown us what we can achieve when we have a common purpose.

The 2021 IWD theme is #ChooseToChallenge. Read more
A challenged world is an alert world.
Individually, we're all responsible for our thoughts and actions - all day, every day.
We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity. We can choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements.
Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.

About our IWD Luncheon

Anybody and everybody are welcome to come along and listen to our inspiring speakers and connect with some amazing people in our community. You will receive a champagne cocktail or mocktail on arrival, with the Cupitt's Estate Chefs creating a bold menu, packed with flavour and inspired by the beautiful produce made and grown at Cupitt's Estate. The full bar is available for other drink purchases on the day.

Our line-up of speakers will include:

Katrina Condie 2ST / Power FM Radio. Katrina started her career at the Milton-Ulladulla Times after securing a journalism cadetship at the age of 19. She worked her way up to become the Managing Editor at age 28. In a tragic turn of events, Katrina and her family lost their home in Conjola Park on New Years Eve in 2019. She then lost her marketing role in 2020 due to COVID. In October 2020, Katrina found her dream role as the Shoalhaven Journalist with 2ST and Power FM in Nowra.

Jack River is the artist name for alt-pop singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and activist Holly Rankin. She was recently nominated for ‘Breakthrough Artist,’ ‘Engineer’ and ‘Best Pop’ at the ARIA Awards in Australia for her debut album Sugar Mountain, and has toured both internationally and nationally playing most major festivals, and supporting acts like Florence and the Machine, Midnight Oil, Gang of Youths and Vance Joy. Over the past 5 years, Holly founded a music and produce festival in her hometown of Forster called 'Grow Your Own’ which has grown to 5000 attendees, and a female fronted concert series called Electric Lady - both of which are now partnered with Secret Sounds, the Promoters of Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. Holly is extremely passionate about inspiring climate action and political engagement within youth culture, and is working on a number of exciting projects in this area. Holly calls Mollymook home, with her partner Brett and their dog Blue.
