TO SERGIO WITH LOVE

The perfect soundtrack for cocktail hour jet-setters! To Sergio With Love brings you the
coolest tunes celebrating the singular artistry of Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66.

From the Beatles and Burt Bacharach to JJ Cale and Jorge Ben's signature anthem Mas
Que Nada, cocktail parties around the world had his music on high rotation as Mendes
released hit after hit, including Watch What Happens, The Look of Love, Chove Chuva,
Pretty World, Fool On The Hill and One Note Samba.

To Sergio With Love features one of Australia's most accomplished singers of Brazilian
song, Anje West (The View From Madeleine's Couch), this time singing Sergio's hits in
English as well as some of his Brazilian repertoire in fluent Portuguese. Band-leader Kym
Ambrose is at the drum-kit, with the superb guitar work of Jamie Clark and piano of Joe
Machan taking centre-stage, and well-known Queensland bassist Helen Russell is also on
backing vocal duties.

Since reforming in 2018, To Sergio With Love has played to sold-out houses at The Brisbane Jazz Club, The Old Museum and The Judith Wright Centre, and wowed a 1200-strong audience at Brisbane City Hall. Warm, nostalgic and irresistibly groovy, this is a feel-good musical journey back to the golden age of bossa nova and vintage cocktail cool.
