Details

This Meeting will be conducted under the current Formula 500's Australia Inc. Supplementary Racing Regulations, Australian Speedway Racing Rules and Regulations and these Supplementary Regulations.

ENTRY

Drivers wishing to enter the venues must be familiar with the above mentioned Rules and Regulations.

ENTRY FOR MEETING

·All Nominations to be completed online

·Nominations will be open until Sunday 2nd March -  5pm 

Late Nominations - must be completed online & prior to sign in deadline

WITHDRAWING FROM A RACE MEETING

·Drivers must notify the co-ordinator prior to sign-in deadline on the day of racing.

SIGN-IN

·Race car must be in the pits when driver signs in.

·All entered drivers must sign-in at the series trailer before the sign-in deadline time 3.00pm

·Any driver who does not sign-in on race day by the sign-in deadline will be deemed as a late entry and will start ROF for heats.

RACE FORMAT

RACE FORMAT IS SUBJECT TO CAR NUMBERS

Heats: Each driver will have a minimum of 2 heats - pill draw conducted at sign in to determine starting position for first round of heats. Second round of heats starting position will be an inversion of round 1 line up & rows swapped where possible.

Heat points: will be utilising the Sprintcar format –

1st - 25 5th - 15 9th - 7 13th and back - 1

2nd - 22 6th - 13 10th - 5

3rd - 19 7th - 11 11th - 3

4th - 17 8th - 9 12th - 2

A Main: 12 - 15 Laps depending on car count. Top 20 point scorers in the heats to go directly into the A Main. Highest point scorer in the heats shall be allocated pole Position on the grid in the final, in the event of tied points quickest lap time from heats will determine position.

B Main if required (no of laps & no of cars to transfer will be dependant on car count & allowable track density - Twmba 24 cars, Gatton & Kingaroy 20 cars)

Toowoomba - top 18 cars on points go directly to A Main & remaining cars will run B Main with first 6 finishers to transfer to rear of A main.

Gatton & Kingaroy - top 14 cars on points will go directly to A Main & remaining cars will run B Main with first 6 finishers to transfer to rear of A main

A Main Points

1st - 36 5th - 26 9th - 18 13th - 14 17th - 10

2nd - 33 6th - 24 10th - 17 14th - 13 18th - 9

3rd - 30 7th - 22 11th - 16 15th - 12

4th - 28 8th - 20 12th - 15 16th - 11


Round Trophies 

Drivers who finish 1st,2nd or 3rd in A Main will receive trophies each night.

Series Payout in Vouchers

1st $300.00  4th $150.00   7th $75.00

2nd $225.00 5th $100.00  8th $75.00

3rd $175.00   6th $75.00 

Series Points are based on Heats & A Main finishing positions. If a driver records a DNS, DNF or is DSQ for any race, they will receive 0 series points for that particular race.

All cars must display meeting Series sticker on top wing on the outside left side panel. (Stickers will be provided). Failure to do so will result in no points & prize money for the round.

To be eligible for end of series prizes you must compete at 6 of the 8 Forza Series races and have either driver or a crew member present at the Brisbane Formula 500 Presentation Dinner at the end of the racing season.

All cars must display meeting sponsors sticker/s. All sponsor stickers also must be display on top wing outside left side panel. (Stickers will be provided). Failure to do so will result in no points or prize money.

8 Round Series to be held over these dates – Seniors & Juniors (if any dates are lost due to weather, another date may be used where possible)

·Oct 12 – Gatton

·Nov 16 – Toowoomba

·Dec 14 - Gatton

·Jan 11 – Toowoomba

·Mar 8 – Toowoomba

Mar 15 – Gatton

·Apr 12 - Kingaroy

·May 17 – Toowoomba

May 24 - Gatton (Extra Round added due to loss of rounds with weather)

LICENCES

Each accepted driver must produce a current Speedway Australia Licence at sign-in.

LAPPED CARS

On all race restarts lapped cars will take their place at the rear of the field.

PRESENTATIONS

Presentations for 1st to 3rd in the A-Main will be held either on the track infield after conclusion of A main or at club trailer immediately after the final race of the night

All drivers and crew are welcome to attend presentations.

To be eligible for all prizes you must attend end of night presentations.

TRANSPONDERS

Electronic timing Transponders will be used.

Drivers will be responsible for lost or damaged hired transponders or any hired transponder not returned.

Any car not having a working transponder may not be lap scored.

Any car crossing the start/finish line under the pole line may not be lap scored.

RACECEIVERS

All drivers must race with a working Raceceiver (and ear pieces).

The Brisbane Formula 500 Club and/or the Event Co-ordinator may amend parts of these supplementary regulations.

Sign-in times may change, all nominated drivers will be advised via text message of any changes.

All race results will be uploaded on www.mylaps.com as soon as possible after each meeting.

"Verbal and physical abuse of any official or other competitors, and deliberately distracting or provoking others is not acceptable or permissible behaviour.

Competitors are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of any person associated with them, such as pit crews, vehicle owners and sponsors.
