Paediatric Palliative Care Masterclass 2024

Event Details

The Masterclass is aimed at medical and senior nursing staff caring for young people and their families with palliative & end-of-life care needs. Participants should have completed a PPC introductory and PPC advanced course prior to attending this event.

Other Healthcare Professionals are welcome to register but should be mindful that the sessions will be aimed at decision-makers, prescribers & dispensers. Nurses at Clinical Nurse Consultant or Nurse Practitioner level is recommended.

The 2024 Workshop Theme:

Symptom management.... all things great & small

The theme for 2024 will concentrate on "Symptom Management," encompassing a range of topics such as medication usage, communication, non-pharmacological approaches.

When: Thursday, 16th May 2023. 8am - 1630pm

Where: Queensland Children’s Hospital Level 7, 501 Stanley St, South Brisbane

Cost: Free, numbers will be limited to 30 participants.

Please note, BYO morning tea and lunch required. Refreshments may be purchased on-site.

Parking: Hancock Street Car park, Mater Car parks, Southbank Parklands Car parks – costs apply. Mater Hill bus station is directly opposite the hospital. If traveling by rail, the closest train station is Southbank. It is a 500m walk from the train station to the hospital.

This event is planned to be run only as an in person event.
