Performing Brazil & Friends bring to the Butchers Brew Bar: Roda de Choro & Samba 

A Roda de Choro (roda = circle) is a jam session for musicians that are into the Brazilian choro-style, & is open for listeners, dancers & music lovers. 

Choro is a Brazilian musical genre that - like jazz - began to take shape in the late 1800s, it is the precursor to the samba & bossa nova, a rich & playful genre of music which incorporates Afro-Brazilian rhythms & the perfect match for the famous 'Samba de Gafieira' dance. 

Roda de Choro & Samba will have virtuoso musicians & singers playing traditional Brazilian instruments such as, mandolin, cavaquinho, 7-string acoustic guitars, flute, pandeiro & others. Don’t miss this unique experience of a typical Brazilian music event at the Butchers.
