Arboretum Kite Fest - Kite Making Workshops

Get hands-on and creative at Kite Fest with our kite making workshops, open to anyone aged 5 and over. Whether you're young or just young at heart, these sessions offer a fun and creative way to be part of the festival.

Each 45-minute workshop includes everything you need to assemble and decorate your own kite. Once your colourful kites are complete, head outside to join the excitement of Kite Fest with your very own kite!

Workshops will go ahead rain or shine. If the weather is unsuitable for kite-flying, workshop participants will still be able to create and keep their kite to fly on another breezy day.

• All materials provided for kite-making and decorating
• Outdoor kite flying (weather permitting)
• One quality, sturdy kite to take home
• A fun, family-friendly atmosphere
• Staff facilitated event

Times: 5 sessions between 10am - 3pm
Duration: 45 minutes per session

Ages: 5 years and older
Price: $15 per person - one kite per ticket booked

Important Information

• Suitable for ages 5 years plus. Parents/carers required to stay with children for this workshop (no charge for carers).
• Bathroom and hand washing facilities are available.
• Please meet at the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion.
• Margaret Whitlam Pavilion is an accessible venue. Accessible parking available at main carpark via 300m sealed & level path.
