We invite you to join us to hear about Lake Macquarie City Council Electric Vehicle charging station grants available to local business.

EV charging stations for small businesses and upcoming grants

Guest Presenter: Nigel Hancock, Sustainability Engagement Officer, Lake Macquarie City Council

Electric Vehicle chargers are a great way to attract new and longer staying customers to your business. Lake Mac sees millions of day and weekenders every year and more an more will be coming in their EVs. Having the convenience of being able to charge while they visit, shop, dine or stay will become the new point of difference for many of these potential customers.

Now with grants from the NSW Government it is a good time for some business to get in early and Council would like to see Lake Mac become a destination for EV owners looking visit the region.

These grants, from the NSW Government ends soon, but there are multiple grant rounds planned and we would like to see local businesses take full advantage of this extra funding.

Our very own Sustainable Engagement Officer can help business navigate the complexities of getting quotes, choosing models and applying for grants. Lake Macquarie City Council have recently gone through this process themselves and have first-hand knowledge on dealing with suppliers and grant applications.
