This workshop runs over 3 x 2-hour sessions.

Attendance at each session is required, as each session covers different material.

The online workshop material is the same as Day 1 of the face-to-face training.

Sessions are presented live via Zoom, and are not recorded.

The time zone is Sydney time.

What is LAMP?

Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) is a therapeutic approach based on neurological and motor learning principles. The goal is to provide individuals a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting. The LAMP approach can be used with both Unity® & Words for Life.

Who can attend?

This event is targeted at professionals working with people who use AAC. However, it is appropriate for anyone who is keenly interested in learning more about LAMP, or who is already using the LAMP approach. Attendees may be parents, carers, therapists, educators, education support, or university students who have some knowledge of AAC.

What is covered?

AAC theory, LAMP theory and evidence base, the five components of the LAMP therapy approach including readiness to learn, shared focus, consistent and unique motor patterns, auditory feedback, natural consequences leading towards language connections.
