CAMERON JAMES RETURNS HOME TO HOST A NIGHT OF BIG LAUGHS AND BIG VIBES AT THE BEACHES HOTEL

The Newcastle Comedy Festival is back — and we’re kicking off with a bang.

On Thursday 10 July, Peregrin restaurant at The Beach Hotel will host the official Launch Party and Media Night, hosted by Newcastle’s own Cameron James. From Guy Mont’s Spelling Bee to Spicks & Specks and beyond, Cam returns to his hometown to host a night that’s part comedy gala, part party, and 100% unmissable.

This is not just a show — it’s a celebration. A chance to rub shoulders with the comics lighting up
screens and stages nationwide at Merewether’s most enviable location — and get a taste of what’s to
come at the biggest Newcastle Comedy Festival yet.

The lineup is stacked with some of the most exciting names in comedy:

🎤 Danielle Walker – Logie-nominated star of Gold Diggers and winner of Taskmaster Australia, Danielle’s unpredictably brilliant comedy is the stuff of legend.

🎤 Daniel Muggleton – With global tours, viral clips (25M+ views), and support slots for comedy royalty like Jim Jefferies and Russell Kane, Muggleton’s brutally sharp wit will have the room howling.

🎤 Cameron James – MICF Best Show Nominee, SCF Director’s Choice winner, and the self-proclaimed “Bad Boy of Musical Comedy” returns with a bang, serving up razor-sharp storytelling, twisted pop songs, and unexpected nostalgia.
