Liberty Belle is a Canberra-based, three-piece delivering a genre-bending mix of alt-country, post-punk, blues, neo-gospel and folk-infused storytelling.

The band’s sound is intense, visceral, but also introspective - blending razor-sharp overtones, gritty blues, and hauntingly sweet, poetic melodies.

This heady mix is bold, irreverent, emotionally raw and constantly evolving. Yes, it’s complicated.

Lyrically, Liberty Belle moves between themes of desire, unrequited love, violence, power, and human vulnerability. The mood can be satirical, melancholic and humorous while deeply grounded in imagery and emotional weight.

Katrin Helmreich (vocals/guitar/songwriter) plays classical acoustic guitar, ironically interpreted via distortion and instinctual energy. Anni Mather (Keys) delivers a rich underbelly of melodic, and bass-driven keys. Adam Bowler (drums), creates complex, emotional depth with his unique time signatures, discipline and dynamics.
