Stitching & craft workshops for children in Perth

My name is Elise Hinkley and I am the face behind Hoop Hoop Hooray. I’ve been crafting on and off for the past 20 years and have become a ‘Jill of all trades’ so I have set out to start my small business, Hoop Hoop Hooray. In doing so, I’m hoping to introduce children to the ‘slow craft’ of hand stitching and encourage craftiness and skill building for children.

My background is education having studied to be a primary teacher. I currently spend my time being a mother of two and working part-time as an education assistant at a lovely primary school in the northern suburbs. I hold a valid working with children check and First Aid certificate.

Hoop Hoop Hooray’s mission is to run workshops to inspire Perth children through the art of stitching and developing new skills to find enjoyment in using their creative side #craftastherapy.

Throughout workshops, demonstrations and meet ups, I will ensure children learn crafty skills while having FUN! Small workshops will be offered on a regular basis from my Greenwood home and I welcome children from complete novices to experienced crafters.

Adults will be encouraged to drop and go but are welcome to stay and have a cuppa while they observe. My workshops will have a maximum of 6 children in attendance to allow adequate attention to their needs.

Hoop Hoop Hooray will stock a variety of embroidery kits that will allow your child to continue their skill building at home. They will also have the option to join in at a craft meet up to continue their enjoyment with friends or please get in touch to arrange a custom group booking.

I look forward to meeting your children in one of my workshops.
