Welcome to our 3rd edition of the Winter Solstice Beer Mile: brought to you by Aussie Beer Milers Club and supported by Molly Rose Brewing.

Past entrants have claimed this as faster than our January beer mile event! The Winter Solstice is the shortest day/longest night of the year, and symbolises rebirth, fire and renewal. So what better way to revive your running than a fast beer mile or relay!?

The beer mile is a 4 lap, 4 beer challenge; starting with a beer chug then 400m run, and repeat 3 times more! The fastest time in the world is 4m 28s for men and 6m 08s for women - how do you think you'll go? From our 2024 Winter Beer Mile participants, the average finish time in heat one was 8m 34s - can you beat that?

The June Winter event is less formal than our main January Summer event; simply hosting two individual Beer Mile races, and limited relay teams in one heat. This compact event allows our team of volunteers and race director to give it a crack too! We welcome variations such as cider, milk (yuk), vodka, soda, etc. Official times will be published per beermile.com rules. BYO beers, bring ya mates and lets have some beery fun! After the events, Molly Rose Brewery in Collingwood will host the winner presentations and post race feed. Located about 2.5kms from the track, we'll be warm and well looked after with great food specials and amazing brews on offer!
