Australia Wide Customized Training: Sydney/Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra. Geelong, Gold Coast and Melbourne. Parramatta and Darwin.

Every great workplace has a special relationship that embraces diversity. This allows them to draw on a wide range of highly intelligent people, regardless of their race, religion, or age. Different generations have a common trait: an understanding of the world based on years of experience. These generations often have a common trait: an awareness of the world from many years of experience. While this may seem harmless in other situations, it can seriously impact productivity, morale, and profits. This course aims to bridge generational gaps by exploring history and dispositions of different generations, creating member-sensitive goals and teaching various aspects about adaptability and effective team communication.

Since ancient times work has been the backbone for any civilisation. Communication is the backbone to all work. The workplace is now more inclusive and dynamic than ever thanks to societal, scientific, and cultural innovations. This has created another problem, generational gaps and conflict. Although these conflicts can often be quite harmless outside the workplace, they can cause problems within the workplace and can reduce team productivity as well as lower profit margins. teams can learn how to solve such problems in the classroom. They also have the chance to see historical facts and learn about organisational techniques. You can combine this training course with another package to make a customized training program that addresses your team's specific needs. Multigenerational Team Training Outline

Learn about the various generations

Each generation always has their own quirks, preferences and even thoughts on culture and business. Some generations have experienced more turbulent times and may often act more cautiously. Younger generations have not experienced those times however are growing up with new technology and a new everchanging world built on the knowledge of the past. Other generations still may generally be cheerful and upbeat, and may even use the language differently. Knowing about each of these generations will allow employees a closer look into the dispositions of people belonging to that generation. This training course will therefore tackle in brief the various generations throughout history and other key facts about them.

Eliminate stereotypes

Stereotypes are often the cause of an invalid use of inductive reasoning. It is indeed natural to generalise people as the mind wants to understand people and tries to fill in information that is missing. Conversely, a false image of another generation can alienate an entire group of people and more importantly, prevent businesses of the opportunity to learn from people whose skills have been developed by years of experience, technological advancements and personal accomplishments. It is often the Bias that go with these stereotypes that limit our growth. This is especially true in certain cases, such as a false perception of political views, which can create even further divides as to how people might think within the workplace. It is therefore imperative for participants to know what these various stereotypes are so they can address all generations in an inclusive manner.

Develop organisational skills and planning

While it may be a challenge to create common goals that take into account all possible generations, knowing how to actually turn this drawback into a permanent advantage can allow businesses to survive with multiple generations. In a more practical sense, this means being able to take into account the mental and physical capabilities and dispositions of multiple generations as it will allow leaders to accurately provide resources to those who need it, and even create a more solid bond across teams. For example training may be provided to certain generations in technology and others may not need, or likewise younger generations may need resources such as Google/Library resources to draw on knowledge rather than using previous experience for decision making. Therefore, aside from learning the historical nature of various generations, participants will also be provided tools to help them evaluate the abilities of various generations and create a more dynamic and well-organised team in the process.

Learn about adaptability

Contrary to popular opinion, it isn’t just older generations that have to adapt to newer ones; all people need to adapt to each other under any circumstance. The question of adaptability can never be answered by simply assuming one generation is inferior over another. To exercise adaptability, participants need to be able to learn how to exchange information on office resources and have informed discussions about the methods and strategies currently employed. What better way to consult, therefore, than to ask those who have experienced business model changes the most? Employees who have knowledge of generational advantages can really make a difference in the way companies then handle the productivity of a team. This training course aims to accomplish this by teaching participants the various methods and benefits of generational adaptability.

Learn effective in-team communication and interaction

The best employees are often those who are able to bridge generational gaps and keep an open mind to various perspectives that may exist within their teams. Further, they are often the best people to consult when it comes to effective team-wide communication. This also means being able to teach each other the fundamentals of the current era: older generations provide intellectual, moral and even certain creative frameworks, while the younger generations can provide additional information on more technical aspects of the business. For this training course, what ultimately matters is that teams and companies grow and succeed together despite of generational and other “barriers” which may alienate certain people from each other.
