Masks and puppets can convey different feelings or character traits…. Perhaps with a simple incline of the head. With no words we can go from happy to sad, angry, embarrassed, etc. The legendary, Ross Brown, will take us through a series of exercises to increase our knowledge of theatrical timing and body language . Using Larval Masks and our knowledge of our bodies, we can create characters that magically transport the audience to other worlds.

Our workshop host:

Ross Brown has been making theatre and masks and puppets in Newcastle for 43 years.

Channelling his theatrical knowledge into all of his works, he gives a full picture of how to create Magical Characters.

Along with his years of experience, he’s got a wonderful ability to tune in and teach.
