CARAVAN TRIO interpret traditional melodies & rhythms from India, Japan, Kurdistan, Mali, Egypt & Spain, as well as playing their own original compositions indebted to Erik Satie, Ali Akbar Khan, Beethoven, Tigran Hamasayan & others too numerous to mention.

DEVI MARNAK's mesmerizing compositions have enfolded Colin’s classical Indian raga vibrations & Tarek’s Egyptian rhythms to offer audiences a kaleidoscopic & immersive experience.  Devi has combined her knowledge of classical music, her fascination with jazz & her love of world music to compose & arrange original new music that is mysterious, eclectic, passionate & multilayered.  Sometimes soothing to soul & sometimes eminently danceable.

Devi, Colin & Tarek have deep roots in the music & dance scenes in Australia &  overseas. Their convergence is unique, dynamic &  unmissable!  They invite you to an intimate show, evolved from the larger Caravan Band that has been playing together since 2020, performing sell out shows & festivals across Sydney..
