COURSE INFORMATION
Safe Food Handling (Level 1): with New England Community College
SITXFSA005 Hygienic practices for food safety.
Gain skills & knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices in the food industry. Course incorporates mandatory allergen and egg safety modules required by NSW Food Authority.
Please Note:
- There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
- This course is a pre-requisite to NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- You will need to provide a form of Photo ID on the day of training.
- You will need to bring your own lunch and water bottle.
- You will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Go to https://www.usi.gov.au/ for assistance to get or find your USI.

Recent changes to the Food Standards Code have introduced new food safety requirements for charities and groups that prepare and sell food on an ongoing basis. Those that prepare unpackaged, potentially hazardous food, and serve it ready-to-eat, may require safe food training.
