In response to the demand for this event, an afternoon session has been added from 1-2.30pm.

Get your hands dirty and learn how to successfully prepare and sow Acacia pycnantha (Golden Wattle) seed during a propagation workshop. Take home your own potted Golden Wattle seed - Australia's floral emblem - collected from a stand of wattle with historical significance.

After the workshop, we'll see more than ten types of beautiful wattle coming into bloom and hear stories about our national floral emblem in the Southern Tablelands Ecosystem Park (STEP).

This event will be hosted by Dr Suzette Searle, President of the Wattle Day Association and STEP on Sunday 30th August, celebrating National Wattle Day at the National Arboretum Canberra.
