Damon Poppleton Quintet

Damon Poppleton is an alto saxophonist, composer, arranger & bandleader, & the winner of the 2019 James Morrison Scholarship, selected by Joey DeFrancesco & Rickey Woodard.  This performance at Butchers Brew will be extra special, with trumpeter Sarah Purdon joining in the front line, to augment the regular lineup from quartet to quintet!  The band will be playing Damon’s originals/ arrangements & a couple of Sarah’s originals, in addition to a special selection of Thad Jones’ compositions.  You definitely won’t want to miss this gig!
