WHY IS THIS GM BEING HELD?

Diversifying funding streams has been identified by the CHRL Executive as a strategic priority to support CHRL’s ongoing growth and long-term sustainability. As part of the overall strategy, the CHRL Executive has recently endorsed the organisation’s application for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. Achieving DGR status will reduce reliance on and susceptibility to limited funding sources and open new avenues for philanthropic support and strategic partnerships.

As part of the application process, amendments to the CHRL Constitution are required. These include a revision of Definitions and Interpretation, the addition of a “Gift Fund” clause outlining its purpose and management, addition of a Conduit Policy, and a revision to the existing “Winding Up” clause.

The sole purpose of this GM is for Members to consider and vote on a special resolution to approve the proposed amendments to Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare’s 2023 constitution.
