... through involvement in an engaging, dynamic and new kid-friendly and kids' focused community.

Program Outline

Week 1: Introductions

On the first session, we will have introductions and discussion with ALL of the kids involved. Kids are encouraged to bring in their puppet or toy on the first day - the puppets will introduce the kids!

We will then talk through what FUN we will be HAVING, how much FUN they can FEEL and help the kids' HEAL by LAUGHTER, general chit-chat and ice breaker games.

Week 2: Learning about the art of storytelling

Here, we will provide stories for the children and get the children engaged in content, gathering their creativity, working with the puppets and more.

Week 3: Bring Your Own (BYO) toy, puppet or character from a book

Here we will help the kids to work with their own props to work through the stories they wish to tell.

We will both talk through a classic Australian story with the kids and allow them to improvise a new story, or ending all together.

Week 4: Ending the story - in the way they wish

This week will be assisting the kids to work with the stories they shared work through more new endings, or assisting Renee or Gary with endings from the stories they share.

Week 5: Kids bring in their own unique story

In this week, the kids will have worked on a story from last week so that they can share the whole new story from beginning to end. We will reflect on how stories shape our lives and how can we create new endings, new paths and how we can pick a new path in our life and that stories can be similar to what happens in life.
