Temora’s much‑loved rural heritage celebration returns next month, with Live Hands-on History festival will showcase lost trades and living heritage on Saturday 14 March 2026 at the Bundawarrah Centre.

Formerly known as the Rural Museum Live Exhibition Day, the refreshed event offers a vibrant, hands‑on experience for all ages. Visitors can explore the sights, sounds, and stories of the Temora’s past through working vintage machinery, lost trades demonstrations, family activities, museum tours, and local market stalls.

This year’s program includes:

  • Working Machinery Arena – see vintage engines, tractors, and farm equipment in action and in parade
  • Lost Trades & Skills – blacksmithing, shearing, and more
  • Kids’ Corner – crafts, jumping castle, face-painting and hands‑on heritage activities
  • Museum Tours – explore the Rural Museum and Ambulance Museum collections
  • Local Markets, Food & Produce – Riverina favourites, sweet treats and BBQ options

The event is family‑friendly, accessible, and perfect for locals, families with young children, heritage enthusiasts, and travellers seeking an authentic regional experience.
