The Mutual Opportunities Christmas Function is back for its tenth year, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever. What started as a simple end-of-year catch-up has grown into one of Brisbane’s most anticipated networking and fundraising events — bringing together great people, great food and drink and a shared commitment to supporting the community.

Hosted at Medé Restaurant, the event is proudly coordinated by Paul Adams (Moo Moo & Medé), Jeremy Paterson and Anthony Tuite (Stonefish Careers).

Supporting Great Causes

This year, all funds raised will support two charities doing incredible work:

Nerve Connection Foundation
Nerve Connection Foundation provides support and information to people affected by neurological conditions — both for individuals and their loved ones. They aim to improve quality of life through education, advocacy, and building community networks. Your contribution helps fund vital programs, awareness campaigns, and services to those navigating life with neurological challenges.

AdoptADane Rescue
AdoptADane Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Great Danes and other large-breed dogs in need. They provide medical care, foster homes, behavioural support, and adoption services — giving these gentle giants a second chance at a loving home. Donations go directly toward veterinary treatment, shelter, and long-term care.

How You Can Help

To boost donations, we’ll be running a major raffle and a live auction — and the prize pool is already shaping up to be incredible.

Prizes on offer include:

• A luxury day out on a yacht
• A Chairman’s Lounge experience at the races
• Premium food and wine packages
• Beautiful jewellery and fashion items
• …and plenty more to come.

The Day

Medé will be serving up their trademark hospitality with a three-hour drinks package and a generous spread of canapés. It’s always a lively afternoon — a great mix of familiar faces, new connections, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why this network is special.

This isn’t just another Christmas shindig. It’s a chance to celebrate the year, catch up with good people, and make a real impact.
