Strixhaven Pre-Release | Black Heart Games

Pre-releases are a celebration of a new Magic set and Black Heart Games will be running 2 special pre-release events.

These events are a fun, casual way to dive into the new set or even start your Magic: The Gathering journey.

Tickets are $40 (+2.50 online booking fee) and to avoid disappointment, follow the links below to purchase a ticket for the date and time of the event you wish to participate in.

Black Heart Games is a registered COVID Safe venue. Spots are limited with social distancing and sound personal hygiene expected of all attendees. COVID 19 check-in is required upon arrival for all participants.

Every player gets to choose a pack from the various Strixhaven schools themed for this pre-release which contains:
– 6 Strixhaven booster packs
– 1 stamped promo card - a one random rare or mythic from the set
– 1 spin down life counter

Each event runs for about 4 hours. Over the first hour you'll build a deck from those cards. You’re on an even playing field with everyone else, making a deck from your pre-release pack instead of using one brought from home. The main event is 3 x 45 minute rounds of Swiss tournament play to determine the winner of the event.
